ToP Network Professional Development Workshops

Building on the energy and spirit from our 2021 and 2022 virtual Annual Gatherings, the ToP Network is hosting monthly workshops to continue supporting the development of our ToP Community. Join us to connect live with other facilitators from across the globe and to learn how to expand your use of the ToP methods. The registration fees will be donated to the ToP Network Scholarship Fund. The scholarship was created to assist with Gathering registration costs for individuals who demonstrate strong investment in the future of ToP methods.  We value diverse experiences that contribute to the body of knowledge that helps us all improve our understanding and ToP practice.

Session Description: How do you take care of yourself and recharge so you are at your best in your work life and home life? In this session we’ll first hear about the emerging studies about wakeful rest and relaxation.  New research shows that relaxation could be as important as sleep. They are learning that when we choose the right activities in the right doses, rest can be a vital process for the optimal functioning of our bodies and minds. We’ll learn about some of those activities including micro breaks and “forest bathing”. Next we’ll explore the implications for us as facilitators and trainers.  You’ll leave this workshop with your own personal plan for ongoing rest and rejuvenation.

Rational Aims:

  • Learn about the science behind and benefits of rest
  • Explore some rest scenarios that stimulate creativity and promote brain health and productivity
  • Discover some implications for us as facilitators or trainers working with groups
  • Introduce more rest into your life by developing a personal rest/rejuvenation plan

  • Be inspired and motivated to care for yourself
  • Feel confident that you too can bring more rest into your life
